FORMAT: 50-minute class format sessions programmed and guided by certified trainers with no more than 10 people in a class. Sessions are labeled as either lower body, upper body, or full body sessions. See calendar for which part of the body to expect to be trained each day of the week.
PROGRAMMING: Functional training includes types of exercises that mimic movements you make in your daily life. Functional training takes muscle groups through a full functional range of motion at different tempos and levels of intensity and can be helpful for athletic performance, injury prevention, and everyday tasks.
PRE-REQUISITES: Populations that are medically cleared for mid to higher level physical fitness activity. Participants signing up for small group classes should have at least some level of fitness experience, physical readiness (flexibility, mobility, and/or conditioning), and be capable of focusing on receiving sets of directions and performing them.
FORMAT: Fully self-guided and unsupervised open blocks of time throughout the day. Instead of booking classes or uFitness sessions you book time slots to swipe in at the door using your phone and workout as you wish.
PROGRAMMING: Programming is completely up to you.
PRE-REQUISITES: You must first participate in either a month of small group classes or one round of the uFitness program before qualifying for an open-floor membership. You will also be required to read and sign an additional open-floor waiver that informs members of additional risks and rules of the gym for unsupervised visits.
FORMAT: A hybrid between personal training and self-guided open-floor. One round of uFitness includes 8 sessions in which members are trained and taught to learn and repeat on their own 4 different workouts through a series of 8 visits. At the end of the 8th visit, members will be equipped to perform four complete workouts on their own and can carry them forward into an open-floor setting.
PROGRAMMING: The workouts consist of base level, easy to perform exercises that can be progressed as desired. A trainer will teach you workouts to learn and eventually be able to come in and do on your own at your own pace and intensity.
PRE-REQUISITES: For anyone wanting guidance on learning a fitness routine, for individuals getting back into fitness or coming back from an injury, and/or for individuals that need/desire self-paced workouts. This may also serve as a good pre-requisite to the more demanding small group classes or to being better equipped with what to do when attending the gym with an open floor membership.
